MG Majestor Launches in India on 20 April

The Indian full-size SUV segment is about to get a major shakeup. JSW MG Motor India has officially confirmed that its brand-new flagship, the MG Majestor, will launch on 20 April, 2026. Positioned to sit above the Gloster, this premium three-row SUV was first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo and is gearing up to take on heavyweights like the Toyota Fortuner.

If you are eyeing a massive, tech-loaded family SUV, here is everything you need to know about MGโ€™s latest contender.

The Core Specs: Big Presence, Big Power

The Majestor isnโ€™t just a minor refresh; itโ€™s a massive statement of intent. It features a boxy design with a commanding road presence, a large matrix-style grille, and modern split headlamps.

Under the hood, it shares its heart with the heavy-duty variants of the Gloster, but with a few extra bells and whistles:
  • Engine: 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine.
  • Output: 213 bhp and 478 Nm of torque.
  • Transmission: 8-speed torque-converter automatic.
  • Drivetrain: Options for both 2WD and advanced 4WD with triple differential locks.

Interior and Tech: Luxury Meets Utility

Inside, the cabin takes a massive leap forward, making some of its core rivals look a bit dated. The dashboard gets a complete redesign dominated by dual screens and piano-black finishes.

Here are the standout features you can expect:
  • Screens: A floating 12.3-inch touchscreen paired with a matching 12.3-inch digital driver display.
  • Comfort: 12-way powered driver seat with a multi-mode massage function and ventilation.
  • Sound: Premium 12-speaker JBL sound system.
  • Convenience: Dual wireless smartphone chargers and a hands-free powered tailgate.
  • Safety: Level 2 ADAS suite (adaptive cruise control, collision warning, and lane-keep assist) and 6 standard airbags.
